I spent six weeks backpacking Southeast Asia in the summer of 2023. I travelled to Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Below you can see some of the fascinating individuals I captured along the way.

Spent 5 nights in one of the best places I’ve ever visited, the nature, the people, the culture, everything was perfect. I had noticed this man during my time in the area and was captivated by his presence, tattoos and style. Conversing through broken English and google translate he agreed to allow me the opportunity to capture his portrait. With 10 minutes of his time, we shot in a few locations around his tattoo and piercing shop, as he grew more confident in his poses. I’m extremely pleased with the results. They provide a small but significant reminder of the beauty of photography as a means to capture and converse with the vast array of unknown, yet interesting and exciting people and places that co exhist among us.
